Fierce Diety let me know that some contributors were getting a "we think your content is spam" message when posting project pages. I've disabled any spam checking for contributors so you shouldn't have that issue again, or have to use those damn captcha boxes whenever you're on the site. Sorry for the trouble.

I put the site on a new server over the weekend and as some of you noticed it was unavailable on sat / sun. Sorry about that, was my intention for the migration to be seamless but I had calculated something incorectly in relation to the database. Anyways, here we are.

I see people posting stuff like Glide64 and the like -- I just wanted to let anyone know that you can feel free to post any sized package on this server, whether it's plugins, textures, or Emulators and executables themselves. The server can take it.

I've updated Drupal to v 6.13 as well as many of the modules. Also added another 20 or so users, hopefully some of them are active :)
There's also now a feed above that shows most recent project, forum, and project posts.

Been a while since I posted on here. My design and development work (my real job) has been on the up-and-up, which is a great thing but has also stolen time away from side projects like this. Upon checking things out this evening I realized that there were a few dozen (and about a hundred fake) requests for accounts that had not been granted. These go back a couple of months, and I just wanted to apologize to anyone that may see this and was trying to get an account setup on here. It's a big mistake of mine and I hope hasn't hurt the growth of the site too much :(

As mode7 pointed out, the dynamic content editor being used for body content has been acting up. This was a result of hacking away at it to force better integration into a site-wide upload system. This was a poor approach and has since been changed.
Contributors should now notice a "My files" link on the left hand side. This gives you personal storage space (200 MB) and an upload mechanism for any type of file you need. Therefore, users now 2 options for file uploads:

I know many of you have needed an easier file upload structure for a while. Attaching files to pages is fine for projects, blogs, forums, etc., but sometimes you'll need to have a file posted nowhere in particular and be able to link to it whenever needed (for PMs, emails, whatever). I have tried multiple Drupal modules for file management, but all of them force you to attach files to nodes, which is just not what I'm looking for.

Thanks to anyone who posted comments about broken or poorly working features. I have corrected many of these. The front page now only shows blog posts -- not blog posts and project updates, which as some of you pointed out were just crowding the front page. I've also added a chat feature (link above) for group collaboration on projects. It may be helpful since many people are often logged on at the same time. The chat sessions are archived, so content from those sessions will return in the Search area.

Only up for a day or two and we've got 13 22 members. I'm really pleased that so many of you are eager to port your projects to this site. Let me know what I can do to help. We've got file uploads / user quotas up, advanced WYSIWYG editors for pages and forum posts, and other features to help. What else do any of you need to properly setup a project page? Are there any multimedia features needed? I'll gladly accomodate any suggestions that will help.
