Majora's Mask Retexture Project
I'm moving my project here as well from Emutalk. I don't have any real pictures of textures in progress because the project was just started about a week ago, though I do have one team member already working on textures. The mods can feel free to move this project's thread if it's in the wrong spot.

Required: RICE's 6.1.1 beta 10 (might move to Jabo's in the future.

Alright, so I've been going through MM to take reference shots, etc.... and running into a problem.
Any of the scenes with motion blur do not appear properly. So the spinning mask and mask seller at the intro are not present. The 'omg, I'm a scrub' part of the prologue sequence is also like this.
Are there any settings within RICE's 6.1.1 beta 10 that I can set to get this to work? If not, then why are we using it?
The reason I chose it for now is I'm still trying to figure out how Jabo's 1.7 plugin works for textures, if I even have the right version.

I already posted this on emutalk, but can I re-join the project, I've improved alot.
Just wanted to do the UI, I already have quite a bit of it done already.

I'm already done all of the text for the ingame menu, and as you know the action text is done. I've redone the intro menu as well.
Not bad dude, those are definatly improvements, though some light shading might help a tiny bit, otherwise great job.
Those items would probably work better if we were making a cel-shaded Majora's Mask. There just isn't very much detail going on there.
They should look more like this, only bigger.

I like the button icon a lot man, that looks great, and the Rupee looks good too, I think you're at the point where you are on the team now ;)
Is this project going to be from the ground up? I know Djipi did a lot of work already on the HUD and the town area. Are you going to be reusing any of those textures? I think he got about 1/3rd through the game and then moved on.

I think the action texts work... Yeah, I might work on this along with you guys sometime, but the ROM I use don't work on PJ64 1.6, I'll download the Europe ROM though.
the rom from emuparadise should work fine, that's the one I'm using.
I love the HUD look so far, keep it up.

Ok things seem to be quiet now, so I'm gonna ask for a quick status update just to see where we are at right now.
I was bored on the way back from my trip, and managed to get alot done.

love the cracked background on the options menu, looks fantastic. The only real complaint I have is the rupee, it needs more distinct lines, and a shine to make it a jewell, as that's what they are.
Things have been really quiet on the forum, just checking up on the progress of the team, any kind of response is appreciated. *pokes thread*
Sorry, but I've been really busy with school and other things...
I might have free time next weekend tho.
I think the rupee needs more realism to it, it looks...animated at most.
April is now coming to a close and I haven't gotten any word from any of the people on this project, I am requesting two things here, 1: Response to all members of this team so we can get an update on the situation of the project. 2: This thread moved from "New Projects" to "Projects"
I wanted to start my own project, but wasn't sure what to do. Either Zelda or Perfect Dark. Seeing as MM is my favourite game EVAR! I'm wondering how I can get in on the project? Being as its a bit quiet, I don't see any harm in an addition to the team :D

Eh, sorry for not being on here often..
I'm kinda busy with school, and other things, but I'm currently pushing the clock to complete the in game HUD.
I'm having some trouble dumping the textures, I think. Im trying to dump the door that you first come in through, but alas, one can not find it. I done a quick thing with the hangy things in front of the door.
Still needs some touches and such and to look more clothy at the ends.

Have you tried checking the dump checkbox as you are interacting with it. It should work, but if it doesn't, just keep on interacting with it.

I think it works way better than that diamond.
Also, im working on the alphabet.

I do like that hexagon better than the diamond, I must say. Your lettering also looks really good.
I think the rupee still looks a bit flat


I think the central Hexagon needs to be smaller, to add some depth to it if you know what I mean? And some more shading on the different faces. If you look at the shading in the in game shot or even in that wind waker style rupee, the faces are shaded differently.

great work so far from what I've seen, on a side note, Majora's Mask has officially been launched on the Wii Virtual Console.
How is it going with the project? Haven't heard anything in awhile ;p
It's still going, slowly. Heroshade finished the title menu stuffs, and that's about it from what I have heard. We are updating more often on homebrew heaven, only because that site's N64 retexture forum is a bit more lively. When we have something larger to update with, here will recieve a nice slice of the update cake.
Let me know what you want improved and pay no attention to the stairs they're not mine, they're dijips sorry dijip not trying to steal your textures.
